How to Take a Course on Coursera for Free
If you are reading this it probably means that you have a course on Coursera that you are interested in taking but you are not ready to pay for it at the moment. In this short article, I will show you how to take a course for free on Coursera.
1. Go to the Course Page and Click the Enroll Button
Click the blue “enrol” button to start the enrolment process. If you are not logged in then you will get the modal below to log in.
If you don’t have a Coursera account yet, then take a moment to create one. If you already have an account, then you can go ahead and log in.
2. Find the “Audit the Course” Button
Find the “Audit the Course” button. It should be at the bottom of the modal that opens up after you click the enrolment button
3. Click the “Audit” Button
Click the Audit button to access the course for free.
4. You’re in!

Disadvantages of Auditing a Course
- You will not get a certificate after going through the course content
- You will not be able to take some of the course quizzes and assessment
- Your assignments will not be graded.
